The Utah Education and Telehealth Network (UETN) stands as a nationally acclaimed organization, unifying the extensive services of the Utah Education Network (UEN) and the Utah Telehealth Network (UTN), responsible for a robust infrastructure of broadband and broadcast technologies for education and telehealth statewide. UETN’s network links over 2,000 K-12 schools, higher education institutions, public libraries and telehealth sites in the state’s urban, suburban and rural areas.
Utah Education Network works with partners across the state to identify and curate technology resources. UEN manages consortia purchases of educational technology software to reduce costs for K-12, Higher Education and Public Libraries. This includes tools for learning management, research, videoconferencing, creative expression and student engagement. Additionally, UEN provides free professional development to assist Utah educators in effectively using technology in the classroom.
Utah Telehealth Network uses leading-edge interactive video to link patients to healthcare providers across the world. In rural Utah, patients and providers can access services usually only available in more populated urban areas. UTN also hosts the Northwest Regional Telehealth Resource Center (NRTRC), to provide rural and underserved communities across seven states with access to technical assistance, tools and training.
